Sweeter and more cold hardy than some pomegranate varieties, Utah Sweet Pomegranate is a good choice for home gardens and the edible landscape. The very sweet, pink-skinned fruits have pink pulp and non-staining juice. The flavor sacs are noticeably softer than those of Wonderful Pomegranate. Growing 12-15 ft. tall, the trees are very ornamental and have very attractive, pink-orange flowers. The fruits ripen in October. Cold hardy to zone 8a and maybe zone 7b.
