While bred for the warm southeastern United States, many in northern regions like snacking on these exceptionally sweet and flavorful berries. Eversweet Everbearing Strawberry bears a large crop of large, deep red berries in early summer and then produces berries through fall. The disease-resistant plants tolerate temperatures above 100 degrees F. with no loss of fruit quality. Eversweet Strawberry can be grown in the garden, raised beds and containers. Self-pollinating. Zones 5-8.

  • Pollinator:Self-pollinating. Requires bees for pollination.
  • Yield: Approximately 1 - 2 pints. Bearing age: 1-2 years.
  • Color: 1/2-inch, white flowers.
  • Size: 25 Plants
  • Blooms: Late Spring, Early Summer, Mid Summer, Late Summer, All Summer
  • Fruit: Very large, deep red berries.

  • Form: Fruit, Small Fruit, Strawberry, Everbearing
  • Soil Requirements: Acidic Soil, Loamy Soil, Sandy Soil
  • Growth Rate: Vigorous growth rate.
  • Pruning: Root only 5 or 6 runners from each plant and remove the rest. Arrange the runners to the ground and plant and remove the rest. Arrange the runners so they're about 6 inches apart. Everbearers should not bear fruit with the first flush of flowers since they need their strength to establish the main plant and to sprout runners. Pinch or cut off the first flowers that form, allowing the flowers later in the season to produce fruit.
