Emerald Southern Highbush Hybrid Blueberry

Largest sized berry of Southern Highbush varieties.

  • Largest berries of Southern hybrids
  • Long harvest period
  • Productive even in central Florida
Start blueberry season with some of the largest berries available! Emerald Southern Highbush Hybrid Blueberry produces very large berries with a mild blueberry flavor. The plump berries look lovely in fruit salads and baked up into pies. The highly productive plants grow 5-6 ft. tall and continue producing large berries through a long harvest period, allowing for multiple harvests. They're a very low-chill variety, requiring 150-250 chill hours, so they'll do well as far south as central Florida. The plants are self-pollinating, but will produce larger berries when cross pollinated with other varieties. Ripens early to mid season. Zones 8-10.
