In demand as an early season cherry that tolerates hot climates. Large red fruit is firm. Brooks ripens about 10-14 days ahead of Bing. Requires a pollinator such as Early Burlat, Tulare, or Ranier. Susceptible to skin cracking in rainy periods, so if rains are likely leading up to the harvest period in your area, you should choose another variety. Developed by the University of California (Patent #6676. Cold hardy zone 7. (700-800 chill hours required). Harvest early season.
