It's easy to see why gardeners and landscapers love yews. These evergreen shrubs add color and structure to the landscape without lots of extra maintenance and fuss. Tauntons Yew is a showy shrub that grows 3-4 ft. tall with a 3-5 ft. spread. Its compact, dense appearance makes it a favorite as a foundation planting or low-growing hedge. Its soft, green needles provide plenty of color during the winter months. Best of all, this low-maintenance shrub is easy to grow and drought tolerant, once established. While Tauntons Yew shrub grows best when planted in full sun to partial shade, it will tolerate heavy shade. Zones 4-8.
