Strawberry Archer

Finally, a Large Strawberry with Intense Flavor!

This strawberry has it all—large, fragrant and flavorful fruits on disease resistant, productive plants. We expect it to become a favorite for market growers, u-pick operations and home gardeners. A new Junebearing variety developed at Cornell University by Courtney Weber, Archer Strawberry produces huge berries—almost the size of small peaches. They'll fill up a container fast! But unlike other large berries, Archer's fruits are also very aromatic, sweet and flavorful. The firm berries ripen early during strawberry season and maintain their size through the season. Archer Strawberry is cold hardy and exhibits good disease resistance. Its vigorous plants produce lots of berries for fresh eating, freezing and desserts. Zones 4-8.
