Primrose Lilac will delight the senses when it bursts into bloom in the springtime. Garden visitors will first notice its unusually colored flowers—a warm, pastel yellow instead of the purple shades of many lilac bushes. The yellow shades are more intense in cooler conditions and when the bush has some protection from intense afternoon sun. Like other lilacs, Primrose Lilac is wonderfully fragrant, perfuming the spring air and enticing pollinators to come visit. This deciduous, flowering shrub grows 8-12 ft. tall with a similar spread. Grows best in full sun. Zones 3-7.
