Northcountry Blueberry

One of the best to grow in the upper cold zones.  Very high yield for such a small plant (3-4 pounds off of a mature plant) Small to medium fruit has very good flavor (think like a wild blueberry).  Adapted to a wide range of acid soil types.  Mature at 2-3 feet tall, makes a great "tuck-in" to your edible/ornamental landscape, perfect for container growing.  Developed by the University of Minnesota, so it is no wonder that it does well in cold zone 4 from North Dakota to Maine.  But it isn't only adapted to the very coldest zones.  North Country is widely adapted and does well zone 4 to 7, and into northern parts of zone 8.  Vivid red fall color. Harvest early to mid-season (In Southwestern Michigan beginning approximately July 10th, earlier in warmer zones)
