Liberty Blueberry

A wonderful mix of acids and sweetness results in exceptional flavor. Begins setting fruit early, possible that the first fruit set will be the year after planting! Medium-large fruit hangs on the outside of the plant for easy picking. Very attractive light-blue fruit, upright growth habit, and bright red fall color make Liberty an outstanding edible hedge. Harvest in late season, about a week before Elliott. (In Southwestern Michigan beginning approximately August 20th, earlier in warmer zones) A new release and nice improvement from Michigan State University. Winter hardy zones 5-8.
