- Used in tea or potpourri
- Attracts butterflies
- Pretty in fresh and dried flower arrangements
This is one useful herb. Plant in the herb garden, pollinator garden or perennial border and watch as the butterflies flit about its flower spikes and sip on its nectar. Lavender Hyssop grows 24-42 in. tall on square, sturdy stems. Its aromatic, light green leaves radiate a delightful fragrance of mint and licorice and can be used in tea and potpourri. Its terminal spikes of lavender flowers bloom in mid to late summer and look fantastic in fresh or dried flower arrangements. In addition, Lavender Hyssop is drought tolerant, once established, and deer resistant.
