Kwanzan Cherry
Stunning Spring Color
The most popular of the double-flowered cherry cultivars, the Kwanzan Cherry tree is covered with deep pink, 2½ in. double flowers in the spring. Its leaves emerge red-copper in the spring, turn to dark green by summer and change to yellow, orange or bronze in the fall. This deciduous tree is a fruitless cultivar—so there is no fruit drop to litter sidewalks, yards and patios. Growing 30-40 ft. tall with a 30-40 ft. spread and an upright vase form, it's a very showy specimen tree. Grows best when planted in well-drained soil in full sun. Zones 5-9.
