May be the world's most famous pear, since it is often included in holiday gift packs. Creamy texture with a flavorful balance of sugars and acids. Stores well in cool storage for 5 months or more. Large fruit size, yellow-green skin with red blush. Self-fertile in arid west, but produces bigger crop when planted with Bartlett or Bosc. Spray preventively to control fire blight disease. Cold hardy zone 5. Harvest in August. Requires cold storage treatment after harvest.

We continually monitor weather conditions for extreme hot or cold and adjust shipping schedules as needed. Due to hot weather conditions, we are unable to ship most plant items in July and August.
