- Natural semi-dwarf habit
- Large dark purple fruits with red flesh
- Bears heavy yields
A great fig tree for growing in large containers or smaller spaces, Black Jack Fig has a natural semi-dwarf habit. With pruning, it can be kept under 6-8 ft. tall. If not pruned, Black Jack Fig will grow 12-15 ft. tall. The low-maintenance trees produce heavy yields of large, dark purple fruits with strawberry red flesh. The sweet and juicy fruits are excellent for eating fresh, but can also be used for making into preserves. The fruits ripen from June to September. Self-fertile. Zones 8-10.
