Plants will be shipped at the proper planting time for your area of the country using the shipping timeframes outlined below. We continually monitor weather conditions for extreme hot or cold and adjust shipping schedules as needed. Due to hot weather conditions, we are unable to ship most plant items in July and August. Items that are overweight will require an additional shipping charge depending on weight.

In all cases, we choose the fastest, most efficient way to send your orders via the U.S. Postal Service or FedEx. Large orders or large items may be shipped to you in multiple packages.

Botanical Name: Iris germanica 'Apollodorus'
Height: 36 Inches

Blooms: Mid spring, re-blooms late summer to early fall.
Zone: 4-9

Form: Upright
Flower Form: Typical iris like. Larege blooms of great form and substance.
Soil Requirements: Prefers well-drained soil, but is tolerant of a wide range of soils.
Growth Rate: Fast once established, which takes approximately 4 - 6 weeks
Pruning: Remove spent flower stems. Cut back foliage to 6" fan in late fall. Clean plant debris before winter to prevent borers overwintering.
Foliage: Fans of green sword-like upright leaves in spring and summer with some dying back in colder climates in winter.
