Brilliant in color, doubling flower form and perfume, President Grevy is a strong choice for lilac lovers. It is a great landscape accent, growing 10-12' tall. And for a longer season, let a clematis crawl up the foliage--these two grow well together. The clematis will cover it in blooms when the lilac season is over, so you'll have a lasting floral display each year. President Grevy is very low maintenance once established and reliable as privacy or screening. The blooms draw in butterflies and pollinators in the garden. They're also very attractive in a vase, and a sachet-full in your dresser makes the clothes smell fresh and clean. Deer rarely bother with lilacs.
