Delectably sweet and oh-so-juicy, freestone TruGold is a real breakthrough in peaches. Better frost resistance and later bloom time than other peaches (even Contender), means TruGold avoids the danger of unpredictable spring frosts, ensuring you a bountiful harvest every year. Extremely vigorous and productive trees can produce a crop of large, scrumptious fruit within a year after planting. In several years your TruGold tree will produce such heavy crops, the fruit should be thinned. Richly flavorful fruit ripens in mid August. 800-900 chill hours are required for a successful harvest.
