Thanks to deep, rich purple foliage and airy seed capsules, it draws the eye straight to its location--makes an excellent focal point or accent planting. Requires little care and retains its dramatic foliage all year long. Spring flowers appear, maturing to wine-red, feathery plumes. Provides multi-season color to the landscape. Best in part shade to full sun. Zones 5-8.
