Very creamy texture with a slightly nutty flavor— the winner in our taste trials of 14 Southern Pea varieties! Bright ruby stems complement yellow pods with faint blushes of red and beautiful blossoms. Main crop is concentrated into one or two pickings, but Phenomenal will continue to produce at lower levels if kept picked. 2' high bush type; average 12 peas per pod. According to independent lab testing, Phenomenal has over three times the total phenolic content of Pinkeye Purplehull peas! (Think of phenolic content as the healthy portion of food. Things like amino acids, folates and anti-oxidants are all part of the phenolic content of the foods we eat.) 65 DAYS.
