Pink Old-Fashioned Bleeding Hearts are often planted with ferns and hostas, as these shade perennials cover the bleeding heart's foliage which goes dormant in the summertime. A low-maintenance perennial, Pink Old-Fashioned Bleeding Hearts are deer resistant. They perform best when planted in full shade to partial shade. Zones 2-9.
