Haricots verts, or French filet beans, are all the rage among chefs and home cooks—and Grenada Green Bean is one of the most productive varieties we've found. Bush bean plants produce high yields of 6 1/2 in., pencil-thin beans that have an intense green bean flavor and retain their texture when sautéed, steamed or boiled. Seeds are slow to develop, so you'll have a longer harvest window. Plants exhibit better disease resistance than older varieties, and Grenada has shown a high tolerance to bacterial brown spot.
