This striking, two-toned dahlia has stood the test of time. Bred in France more than 60 years ago, Contraste Dinnerplate Dahlia produces huge, up to 8-in. flowers with deep burgundy and purple petals tipped in brilliant white. The flowers, held on sturdy stems, are a standout in the garden and in cut-floral arrangements. Like other dahlias, Contraste Dinnerplate Dahlia has a long bloom period, flowering for months, from summer to frost. This perennial grows 36-44 in. tall. Deer tend to avoid. Grows best in full sun.
