Large, eye-catching flowers add a regal look to the garden from spring to early summer. Westerplatte Clematis features up to 5-inch, velvety red blooms with dark red stamens. The first flowers are semi-double while reblooming flowers are often single. Like other clematis, Westerplatte Clematis adds wonderful color and vertical interest when scrambling up an arbor or trellis-or allow it to ramble through small trees or over shrubs. It's also suitable for containers. Trimming after early flowers encourages reblooming. Grows best in full sun to partial shade. Zones 4-9.
