Vanhoutte Spirea

A Garden Classic

Beginning gardeners and garden pros love easy-to-grow Vanhoutte Spirea, sometimes called Bridal Wreath. This classic shrub produces clusters of snowy white flowers in the springtime, and it also provides eye-catching fall color. Its blue-green foliage turns gold and crimson in the fall. A very showy flowering shrub, Vanhoutte Spirea grows 6-8 ft. tall with an 8-10 ft. spread. Its arching, vase-shaped habit works well when planted as a hedge, foundation planting or accent. Grows best when planted in well-drained soil in full sun. Zones 3-8.
