A triumph in apple breeding, this new cultivar is tops for gardeners who want to grow crisp, flavorful apples with minimal sprays. Triumph^™ shows excellent scab tolerance and contains two forms of genetic scab resistance. Created by crossing the popular Honeycrisp and the disease-resistant Liberty apple trees, Triumph^™ Apple Tree produces firm, pleasantly tart fruits with just the right balance of sugars and acids. They're wonderful for fresh eating and store well, too, lasting for up to 6 months in storage. Fruits ripen in late September. Bred by the University of Minnesota, Triumph is hardy to zone 4.
