The flowers on this newer clematis vine really caught our attention. The purple flowers are tipped in brilliant lime shades and look almost like a passion flower. As the flowers mature, their form continues to change. The manageable vine grows up to 7 ft. tall with attractive foliage and is eye-catching when scrambling up fences or a trellis. It's also suitable for planting in a container. Taiga Clematis is a deer-resistant perennial that grows best in full sun to partial shade. Zones 6-9.
