Pre-Order This Item Ships in Spring
Product Description
- High-quality, late-season dessert apple
- Delightful, popping-crisp texture
- Sweet-tart flavor with hints of lemon and pineapple
- Fantastic for fresh eating, bakes up perfectly in pies
- Holds its shape when baked
- Ripens mid to late October
- Ripened fruit can hang on tree for one month
- Available in Reachables® size
These large, beautiful apples have a porcelain to yellow-green skin, often with a red blush and a unique, citrusy flavor. The crisp, creamy white flesh has a sweet-tart taste with hints of lemon and pineapple. Its crisp texture makes it excellent for eating fresh—and it also holds up well when baked. The apples mature in mid to late October and will hang on the tree for up to a month without losing flavor and quality. You can store them for up to 4 months in the refrigerator and enjoy their amazing sugary crispness even in the cold winter days. Sundance has excellent resistance to cedar apple rust and scab. 500 chill hours are required for a successful harvest. Zones 5-8. PP13819.
Now available in Reachables size! A Reachables tree produces full-sized fruits on a smaller tree. It's easier to fit into your garden or orchard, even a container will do fine! Thanks to state-of-the-art rootstock technology, these trees remain manageable throughout their life cycle, so a single person can prune, spray, net and harvest the tree, all while standing on the ground. No ladders required! Note: Because the full-sized fruits grow on smaller sized trees, Reachables require a tree support.
NOTE: We are unable to ship our trees to PO Boxes at this time.
Listen to why this is a Niles’ favorite!
