Vigorous, Early Season Berry

  • Large, flavorful berries
  • Produces early in strawberry season
  • Junebearing variety
  • Great cold tolerance
  • Vigorous plants bear high yields
Start strawberry season off right with large, luscious, deep red berries. Wendy Strawberry is a Junebearing variety that produces heavy yields of large, wedge-shaped fruits early in the strawberry season. The fruits have an excellent fresh flavor for fresh eating, pies, desserts and preserves. Developed in Nova Scotia, Wendy Strawberry plants have great cold tolerance, are vigorous and set lots of runners. Plants exhibit moderate resistance to powdery mildew and red stele. Strawberry plants grow best when planted in moist, well-drained, slightly acid soil in full sun. Junebearing strawberry plants set large crops over several weeks in May or June. Zones 3-8. PP18340
