One of the most beloved of the woodland wildflowers, Purple Trillium welcomes spring with charming, fragrant, maroon-purple flowers. Its three leaves, three petals and three sepals make it one of the most recognizable of the native perennial flowers. Growing 6-12 in. tall with a 12-in. spread and clumping habit, this graceful plant looks best when grown in groups or mixed with other woodland wildflowers and ferns. Purple Trillium grows best in shaded to partial shaded areas. Zones 3-8
