Portento Hybrid Tuscan Melon

Outstanding disease resistance

  • 3-5 lb. fruits
  • High sugars
  • Gourmet flavor at all stages of ripeness
  • Deep salmon flesh and small seed cavity
This Italian-style cantaloupe is a delight to eat—whether picked early or late. When picked early, the fruits have a light, pleasantly sweet flavor with a nice crisp crunch. At later stages of maturity, its texture becomes softer and its honey sweet richness and complex flavors really come out. The 3-5 lb. fruits are shallowly netted with small seed cavities—so you'll have more deep salmon-colored flesh to enjoy. On top of all that, Portento Hybrid has healthy vigorous vines and great disease resistance. It was one of the few melons we were able to grow organically to maturity at our Ohio farm. 80 DAYS.
