An easy way to add color to the garden and to attract pollinators, like butterflies, for months. Dense plumes of bright violet flowers open from midsummer to fall—and add color to gardens as well as fresh or dried floral arrangements. Plumosa Double Salvia grows 15-18 in. tall with a similar spread and has aromatic, green foliage. While this perennial attracts pollinators, deer tend to avoid it. This low-maintenance perennial is a great addition to perennial borders, cottage gardens or along paths. It's drought tolerant, once established. Grows best when planted in full sun. Zones 3-8.
