Figs are a delectably sweet treat when eaten fresh—and Peter's Honey Fig is one of the sweetest figs we've found. Brought from Sicily to the United States, this tree reliably produces shiny green-yellow fruits with a honey-sweet, dark amber flesh. While it's an excellent dessert-quality fig for eating fresh, it can also be canned or dried. Growing 12-20 ft. tall, the tree is a good choice for zones 7-10 and will produce a crop after winter freeze in the southern half of zone 6. Everbearing crop starting in August. Self-fruitful.
