A popular perennial for erosion control, Penngift Crown Vetch grows up to 18 in. tall, with a 2-3 ft. spread, and is loaded with pinkish-white flowers from late spring to frost. It attracts bees. The thick foliage crowds out weeds, making it a good choice for sunny, hard-to-mow slopes. This perennial ground cover's growth tends to be slow the first season and fast thereafter. Performs best when planted in full sun to partial shade. Five plants cover 15 square feet. Zones 3-9.
