Easy-to-use Peat Pellets offer a convenient, neat way to start seeds. Simply add water, and the wafer-thin fiber pellets swell to five times their dry size. The seeds are then planted onto the peat pellet at a depth of about four times the thickness of the seed. When the seedlings are established, water as needed. Both the seedlings and the peat pellet can be planted directly in the garden. The peat will add humus to your garden soil.
Starting seeds indoors is economical—and a great way to get a jump-start on the gardening season. Each pellet is 1 x 1 ½ in.
