Traditional favorite to tuck into wedding bouquets! Lily of the Valley forms a fast-spreading carpet of graceful, 8-in. leaves. In mid spring, it bursts into a sweet-smelling shower of tiny bell flowers that are excellent for cutting. Growing 6-12 in. tall, Lily of the Valley is a popular ground cover for shaded areas. This deer-resistant perennial multiplies from underground stems, and in some parts of the country is considered invasive. For best results, plant in full shade to partial shade. Zones 3-9.
