Jewel Southern Highbush Blueberry

Loads of Juicy Fruits Early in the Season

  • Big, slightly tart berries
  • Low chill hours
  • Ideal for commercial and home gardens
Thanks to impressive harvests of big, juicy, slightly tart berries, Jewel is already a Southern favorite. The light-blue berries add wonderful flavor to pies, desserts and preserves. Requiring just 200-300 chill hours, Jewel Southern Highbush Blueberry is perfect for mild-winter climates. It's widely planted commercially and in home gardens throughout California and Florida. Grows 4-6 ft. tall. Southern Highbush are more tolerant of heat and drought and show greater resistance to disease and insect pests than northern highbush varieties and are best suited for the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, lower Midwest, Southern California, and Pacific Northwest areas.
