A gourmet's delight, our Hardneck Garlic Bundle includes two of the most attractive and flavorful garlic varieties, Purple Glazer and German Red. A favorite for baking and roasting, Purple Glazer has a rich, garlicky flavor, with just a touch of sweetness, and no hot kick or aftertaste. It comes in a pretty package too! The large, elongated cloves are wrapped in purple stripes. Each bulb has approximately 6-10 cloves. German Red features medium to deep red, easy-to-peel bulbs with a very hot, spicy flavor. Each bulb has approximately 10-15 cloves. Hardneck varieties perform well in cooler climates. In early summer, they produce scapes, or flower stems, that grow from the tops of garlic. Scapes add mild garlic flavor to recipes—and can also be used in fresh flower arrangements.

Plants will be shipped at the proper planting time for your area of the country using the shipping timeframes outlined below. We continually monitor weather conditions for extreme hot or cold and adjust shipping schedules as needed. Due to hot weather conditions, we are unable to ship most plant items in July and August. Items that are overweight will require an additional shipping charge depending on weight.
