Ginger

  • Container friendly
  • Superior to store-bought
  • Low maintenance plants
Harness the flavor flexibility of ginger! This edible root can be harvested at different maturity levels depending on your taste preference. Harvest early roots that are known as "baby ginger" in as little as six weeks just like the culinary pros-baby ginger is mild and tender and does not need to be peeled. For a stronger flavor, harvest roots at 4-6 months. This favored seasoning of the Orient is slightly pungent and superior to purchased powder. With lovely fragrant foliage, Ginger also makes for an excellent container plant on the patio. Perennial in zones 8-11, annual elsewhere. Potted.

Plants will be shipped at the proper planting time for your area of the country using the shipping timeframes outlined below. We continually monitor weather conditions for extreme hot or cold and adjust shipping schedules as needed. Due to hot weather conditions, we are unable to ship most plant items in July and August. Items that are overweight will require an additional shipping charge depending on weight.
