Can't wait for those first fruits of spring? Plant honeyberries. Early Blue Honeyberry is one of the earliest ripening honeyberries—and it ripens before strawberries! The berries have a sweet-tart flavor and can be used in recipes that call for blueberries. Growing 2-3 ft. tall, this shrub is easy to grow and virtually free of pests and diseases that bother other fruits. Early Blue ripens as the same time as Sunrise Honeyberry. Because two honeyberry varieties are needed for pollination, we recommend Early Blue as the pollinator for the more productive Sunrise Honeyberry. Early Blue will pollinate three Sunrise plants.
