Brodiaea Rudy

Elegant Early Summer Color

  • Clusters of white flowers with violet stripes
  • Up to 25 blooms per stem
  • Long-lasting cut flower
  • Excellent for naturalized areas
  • Grows 15-18 inches tall
One of our favorite perennials for making the transition between spring-blooming bulbs and summer flowers! Brodiaea Rudy produces clusters of white flowers with violet stripes—up to 25 blooms per stem—in early summer. It's a great accent for borders and containers. Where Brodiaea Rudy really shines, though, is when planted en masse for sweeps of color in naturalized areas or along woodland borders. Has attractive narrow, gray-green, grasslike foliage. It's also a long-lasting cut flower. Growing 15-18 in. tall, Brodiaea Rudy grows best when planted in rich, well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Zones 5-10.
