This dual-purpose, open-pollinated pumpkin variety produces handsome pumpkins, up to 100 lbs. or more. The fruits have a very attractive bright orange rind and fine-grained, bright orange flesh. Unlike some other giant pumpkin varieties, the Big Max Pumpkins tend to have typical, rounded pumpkin shape, or they might be slightly flattened. They make impressive jack-o'-lanterns and fall decorations. The edible flesh can also be used for pies and soups—and there is plenty of it for canning or freezing, too. 110 DAYS.
