The feathery flower plumes attract butterflies and pollinators-and they're wonderful as cut flowers, too. Astounding Astilbe includes three of the best varieties: Vision in Red, Vision in White and Mighty Pip Astilbe. These easy-care perennials are also suitable for container gardening. Deer tend to pass them by. Plant in partial to full shade. Zones 3-9.
