- 2-3 in., snow-white roots
- Vibrant green tops excellent for eating
- Bolt-tolerant hybrid
- Suitable for spring and summer sowing
This is hands-down our best-tasting turnip. We like its flavor even better than Fuku Komachi, our previous favorite. Its 2-3 in., snow-white roots are incredibly sweet, crisp and delicious—and its vibrant green tops cook up wonderful with just enough of a peppery taste. It's a real 2-for-1 crop! The tops remain short, making it a good turnip variety for growing in greenhouses or tunnels. Amelie Hybrid Turnip is bolt-tolerant, so it's a good choice for sowing in the spring or the summer garden. 50-80 DAYS.
