In short, this self-contained grow plugs seed starting kit allows you to sow seeds and grow plants in one unit, then easily transplant these seedlings into your garden or container. This Seed starting system includes 1 reusable plastic tray, 1 reusable foam grow plug holder, 1 reusable humidity dome, grow plugs, and soluble fertilizer. Re-order Grow Plugs whenever you run out! The biodegradable grow plugs can be planted directly into the garden without disrupting roots, reducing transplant stress and keeping proper moisture levels.
- How do self-water seed starters work? The seed-starting system includes a reservoir tray that holds water. Pour water into the growing cell tray. When the plants use it and the water level goes down, just replenish the water.
- What are seed starter plugs? The seed starter plugs, formulated from environmentally friendly ingredients, are designed for hydroponic systems. They allow for the efficient, time release of water which helps prevent common water molds and diseases. Because both the plug and seedling are planted in the garden, they help reduce transplant shock.
- Do hydroponic seeds need light to germinate? To germinate, hydroponic seeds need bright light (a grow light or direct sunlight), moisture and warmth.
