Velvety dark purple, almost black, blooms are delicately edged in creamy white for an absolutely stunning effect. Extremely fragrant with a clove-like aroma. Delightful addition to midsummer borders. Grows to a petite 12 in. tall. Prefers full sun to partial shade. Potted. Zones 3-9.

I ordered and planted this and it is just plain stunning; doesn't even remind me of a dianthus! I loved looking closely at the blooms to see the color variation. Mine got rooted up by a mole and I really want to order another one. You won't be disappointed with this flower!
