Breakthrough Bicolor for the North
(6 customer reviews)One of the earliest bicolors offered. Quickie Hybrid Sweet Corn displays good, cold soil vigor for short-season areas. Sturdy 5-feet stalks bear 7-inch, 14-row ears with fine flavor, lasting sweetness and tenderness. 68 DAYS. Sweet corn has come a long way! Choose from high-sugar hybrids (su) that are sweeter at harvest and stay that way for up to 10 days, super-sweet hybrids (sh2) with their even higher sugar content and crisp texture, and sugary-enhanced hybrids (se) that are sweet, creamy and extra tender. The time frame was correct. I planted in the first week on April and they are done today. That part was a total flop. On the other hand, I ate the tiny ears fresh without cooking and all I can say is the taste was AMAZING!! They were soft without cooking and the sweetest corn I have ever tried. I am very sad since this would have been amazing had it worked. - Friday, July 17, 2009Great taste Reviewed By: filled ears (C W Marsh, Salt Lake City) Great taste wmmarshaa@worldnet.att.net Read More Reviews |
