Big, beautiful cannas look tropical but are easy to grow, even for Northern gardeners. Broad, glossy leaves measure up to a foot long, in green, blue green or bronze. Stunning flower spikes bloom early summer through frost in a neon range of colors. Creates an eye-catching screen even when not in bloom. Towering tropical giants can reach up to 5-8 ft., with blooms in shades of orange, yellow, coral and red. Best in full sun, moist soil and the very hottest weather you can hand them. 2-5 eye. Zones 8-10. Mulch 3-4" thick to overwinter in zones 5-7, or dig bulbs and store in a cool dry place through the winter.
