Contender Peach Tree
Contender Peach Tree
Late frosts no problem!

  (4 customer reviews)

For top-quality crops in any region. Excellent cold hardiness and tolerance to late-spring frosts make Contender superb for Northern growers. Marvelously melting, sweet, yellow flesh. Extra-juicy freestone fruit ripens in mid August. A family favorite that’s sure to please everyone.

Self-pollinating.

So far so good!

I bought 2 of these, relying on the reviews to decide between the Reliance and the Contender. When I got them they looked like sticks so I was a bit skeptical but they've been in the ground for about 2 weeks now and I have leaves galore! I'm so excited!

Awesome

We're in northern Wyoming and had a good crop of fruit the third year. I'm a fan of white peaches, but the flavor of Contender is out of this world! This is one tough tree. My puppy chewed on the trunk the first year, then half-dug it up the third year. I straighted the poor tree, filled the hole back up, and still had great, big peaches.

Hardy peach tree

Planted 3 of these this spring and already budding. Seem to be hardy peach trees. Were nice 4' with good root systems on them.
