Pixie Crunch Li'l Big Apple
Pixie Crunch Li'l Big Apple
Sweeter than 'Honeycrisp'

  (1 customer reviews)

A cut above the rest for fresh-from-the-tree flavor. Breaking crispness “explodes’ in your mouth, like Honeycrisp, only sweeter! Children prefer it over any other apple. Bears reliable, annual crops, even in years with late frosts. Matures late August. U.S. Patent no. 13871. Zones 5-8.

And the winner is??
Reviewed By: Deniese (Lucas, Iowa)
We planted three trees. Pixie Crunch, Red Luscious and Sundance. We had alot of apples on the tree this spring. However, I think the deer liked it so much they ate everything we had. So if the deer are any indication on how this apples taste...it wins the taste test. Hopefully next year we can try and save the tree and the fruit and look forward to trying them out next year. So far the tree has survived several late frosts without minimal damage. It is not a fast growing tree.
