A Sweet Corn WITHOUT EQUAL!

  (68 customer reviews)

One taste and friends and family will be asking—“Where’d you get it, I’ve Gotta Have It!” We’re proud to introduce a new generation of sweet corn—think of it as the richest, most flavorful corn you’ve ever tasted plus a whole lot of sugar. Its tender, oh-so-sweet kernels give it an amazingly long shelf life—3+ weeks in its husk in the refrigerator!

The superb flavor holds up for a wide range of maturity; it’s very slow to become starchy so you have a longer window of harvest. Unbeatable for freezing—tastes like freshly picked sweet corn in the dead of winter. Shorter-than-average plants are as strong as field corn, and hold their own against the elements and disease to yield large, attractive bicolor ears that are filled to the tips with succulent, sweeter-than-sugar kernels. Approx. 200 seeds per pkt. 78 DAYS. Isolate (250-300 ft. or 3 weeks maturity time) from all se and su varieties. Can be planted with sh2 varieties.

78 DAYS.

Above the top!

Hands down, the best corn around. I planted this last year, with great results (near 100% germination too) and had some seed left over, which I stuck in the freezer. I planted that seed this year -- again with near 100% germination. As with any large, hard seed, a 30 min. to overnight pre-soak in warm water before planting makes all the difference!

How to Plant
Reviewed By: Bob Cisco (Princeville, IL)
This is by far the best tasting sweet corn. The biggest problem with this variety is germination. The soil temp has to be 60 degrees and ignore the planting instructions. Do not plant it more than an inch down actually I found that 1/2inch works the best. Definately will not be the first crop out of the field but it is worth the wait.

Fantastic Corn
Reviewed By: Brian Meylan (Kawkawlin, Michigan)
This is by far the best sweet corn I have ever tasted. The ears fill out right to the very tip with 14 to 16 rows of kernals and are incredibly tender and sweet. I have read the complaints about germination problems with this corn and what I do to avoid this problem is to place the seed on a paper towel 1 layer thick and then fold the paper towel around the seed and slip into a zip lock plastic baggie. I add a small amount of water to the baggie, just enough to thourghly soak the paper towel and leave it lay flat on the kitchen counter and do not seal the zip lock. After 2 to 3 days the seed will germinate and then plant. Super sweet "sweet corn" has a tendency to rot in the ground before it germinates and I have great success using this method. Once you get a taste of this corn you will never go back to anything else!
