Second Year
Reviewed By: Duda (Tiverton, RI)
I've been growing them for 2 years now. The first year, i grew them in pots, and the second year I transplanted them into the ground next to a trellis. I had plenty of flower the second year and already have kiwis growing on the female plant. Very easy to take care of!

Beware of spring frost
Reviewed By: Carl (N Reading, MA)
This Kiwi are really "hardy" in my garden. My plants have be through five brutal New England winters and they are still growing luxuriantely dispite that most shoots are froze to death in early spring nights, ( I am in zone 5) and their shallow roots occasionally burnt by the application of 10-10-10. (I applied only 2 oz every spring). Their foliage are beautiful on the trellis. Unfortunately all flower buds are killed by spring frost so my plants is not fruiting yet. I may have to cover the buds in plastic next spring to guard against the cold night.

Hardy Kiwi
Reviewed By: Len (Honesdale, Pennsylvania)
These Kiwis are excellent growers on my garden pergola. They have adequate sunlight and don't mind the slightly acid soil.
